Job summary

Acquire Me in New York is seeking a Tech Lead for Quant Research & Trading Systems to shepherd the next generation of productionised research platforms. You will shape architecture, lead a team, and ensure performance, scalability and reliability from prototype to live trading.

You’ll work closely with Quant Researchers and senior stakeholders to move fast while maintaining rigorous engineering standards, and you’ll remain hands-on with design, implementation and code review as the platform

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in designing and building large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficient in Python, C++, or Rust.
• Experience leading engineering teams and guiding technical direction.
• Ability to work with highly technical stakeholders and not rely on predefined solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering of platforms that take quantitative research from experimentation to production.
• Partner with Quant Researchers to identify bottlenecks and engineer solutions.
• Build systems to test, scale, and productionise new strategies quickly.
• Drive decisions across greenfield and existing systems while maintaining hands-on design and review.
• Provide technical leadership and raise standards across the team.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders on longer-term platform strategy.
