Job summary

Amazon's Benefits Engagement Technology and Services (BETS) is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead a product team building AI-native, scalable benefits platforms at very large scale. You will own the team’s architecture, guide design choices, and collaborate with identity, privacy, security, and legal partners to deliver impactful systems.

You will stay hands-on with code and reviews while mentoring engineers, driving operational excellence, and shaping the agentic foundations

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non‑internship software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Lead team architecture and end-to-end software development.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering best practices.
• Lead adoption of AI Native build loops and agent foundations.
• Collaborate with partner teams (identity, privacy, security, legal, vendors).
