Job summary

Cardinal Health's cCARE Cancer Center in Fresno is seeking a Phlebotomist/Lab Tech to perform patient blood draws and enter test orders. The role supports physicians and lab staff to maintain clinical efficiency and accuracy.

You will manage basic inventory, process samples after collection, and assist with equipment upkeep in a fast-paced lab environment. HS diploma required; CPT certification or eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience preferred.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician License or eligible for Certification (scheduled CPT exam).
• Dependable, patient-care focused with strong organizational skills and attention to details is critical.

What Laboratory contributes to Cardinal Health

Clinical Care Delivery provides high quality, patient-centered care focused on diagnosing, treating and managing care while ensuring the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of the practice.

The Laboratory job family performs services where blood, bodily fluids, or other tissue samples are taken for diagnostic testing to determine the appropriate plan of care. Requires certification.

Responsibilities

• The Phlebotomist/Lab Tech performs patient blood draws and computer entry of test orders
• Works effectively with physicians and lab personnel to troubleshoot problems and maintain laboratory efficiency
• Maintains inventory and ordering of lab supplies
• Processes samples after blood draw, helps maintain equipment

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience, preferred
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician License or eligible for Certification (already scheduled to take CPT exam)
• Dependable, patient care focused, solid organizational skills and attention to details is critical for the role
• Ability to follow processes and procedures
