Universal Health Services is seeking an ER Technician to administer patient care under the direction of a registered nurse in the Emergency Department. You will follow the plan of care, adjusting for age and diagnosis, and perform a variety of direct and indirect duties to maintain smooth patient flow.
The role requires BLS, CPI within 90 days, EMT/CNA/MA or RN coursework, and dysrhythmia certification within 6 months.
Reporting to the Director of Emergency Services the ER Technician is responsible to administer patient care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Follows the plan of care set by the registered nurse and/or physician, managing the individual needs of the patient with regards to their age and clinical diagnosis. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties in the Emergency Department in order to ensure and maintaining smooth patient flow. The E.R. Technician has specialized skills and knowledge in Emergency Care for all patients from infancy through geriatric.
