Job summary

Capital One seeks a Technology Development Program Associate for February 2027 in a 18-month rotation. You will join a cohort, rotate across teams, and gain exposure to cutting-edge tech while located in the continental United States under Capital One’s hybrid model.

The role focuses on software engineering across customer-facing apps, RESTful services, and backend Java/Scala ecosystems, with AI tooling to accelerate development and continuous learning through a structured Tech College program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical/quantitative discipline with expected completion by December 2026 or earlier
• Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving and conceptual skills
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
• Programming experience in one or more: Go, Kotlin, Python, Java, HTML, Swift, XML, JSON, UML, JavaScript, SQL, PL/SQL, Shell scripts, Objective C, C#, C/C++, Perl, .net, asp.net, Visual Basic
• Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity beyond basic code completion

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on agile project teams to deliver software and tools
• Work with cloud-native stack and AWS-based services
• Contribute to backend, API and front-end work using modern languages and frameworks
• Engage in mentorship, training, and knowledge-sharing activities
• Explore multiple roles and technologies within a rotational program
