Job summary

The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking a Cytotechnologist to assess gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens, and to support clinicians in obtaining adequacy for FNAs and EBUS. The role includes serving as a technical expert for training physicians and medical students in Cytopathology.

Ideal candidates hold a Cytotechnology program completion, a biology-related bachelor’s degree, and ASCP Cytologist cert.

Qualifications

• A Completion of a Cytotechnology program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science.
• One year experience in a Cytotechnology laboratory is desirable.
• Certification or eligibility for certification as Cytologist (CT) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.

Responsibilities

• Assesses gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens submitted to Cytopathology.
