Job description

Responsibilities

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health opened its doors this April as the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 25 years. Integrating clinical care with community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), The George Washington University Hospital, and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8, this enhanced integrated delivery system will establish a robust network of care for all District residents, with emphasis on residents of Wards 7 and 8 having access to high quality care in their community. The hospital will offer 136 beds (expandable to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, onsite 550-car parking garage, and a helipad for emergency transport.

We are seeking a CT Technologist (Full-Time). The CT Technologist is responsible for producing quality diagnostic images of human anatomy and vascular structures following prescribed protocols. Performs examinations in a proficient, courteous, and professional manner to promote the services offered at the facility. Completes ancillary tasks to support efficient and consistent departmental operations. Demonstrates radiation protection/safety for patients, staff, and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines to ensure safety. Maintains equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure safety of patients and employees.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Diploma from a certified school of radiologic technology.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR Certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (CT) license.
  • Minimum one-year experience as a registered Computed Tomography Technologist required; acute care experience preferred.

Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic and interpret measurements and graphs; ability to calculate figures and percentages.
  • Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions; ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables in varying situations.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with regulatory bodies (e.g., The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology) and Title 22 standards and guidelines.
  • Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as interact well with the public.
  • Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
