Job summary

Magnite, the world’s largest independent sell-side advertising platform, seeks a Commercial Counsel in New York City. Hybrid schedule with two remote days and three in-office days.

You will lead complex commercial/tech contracts, advise on data privacy and security issues, and collaborate across the business to support product commercialization. 6+ years of transactional experience and bar admission in NY/CA are required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of transactional experience at a top law firm and/or in-house.
• Experience in technology, digital advertising, data/privacy and IP.
• Ability to assess legal risk and provide practical advice under tight deadlines.
• Independent worker who also contributes in a collaborative team.
• Leadership qualities and client interaction across levels.
• Licensed to practice law in California or New York.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support contract negotiations with strategic partners on complex commercial and technology matters.
• Structure, draft, negotiate, and advise on technology and commercial agreements.
• Provide legal support for privacy, data, and security initiatives as they relate to agreements.
• Improve contracting processes and internal policies; support special projects.
• Collaborate with internal clients to enable commercialization of products and services.
