Job summary

RadNet in Westminster, MD is seeking a Technologist Aide to join our Radiology Forward team. You will greet and register patients, verify information, collect copays, and coordinate with staff to keep appointments running smoothly while maintaining privacy and HIPAA standards.

The role emphasizes medical office experience, basic computer skills, BLS certification, and a compassionate, professional demeanor in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1 year of prior medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology beneficial.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Greet, register, collect copays, and verify patient information.
• Notify patient arrival and communicate appointment delays or rescheduling.
• Obtain insurance/authorizations and complete necessary documentation.
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments and notify staff of changes.
• Sterilize equipment and assist technologists as needed.
• Safeguard patient property and PHI, and handle medications per policy.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and staff.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.

When you join us as a Technologist Aide you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21 st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

You Will

• Greet, register, collect copays, and verify all patient information. Assist team members by notifying patient arrival. Communicate delays in appointments in a timely fashion and offers rescheduling for timely and effective care of patients;
• Obtain proper insurance/authorizations and patient information, collects signatures and ensures accuracy and completion of necessary documentation.
• Schedules, reschedules or cancels new or current patients, confirms appointments and notifies staff of changes when necessary.
• Ensure that equipment and tools are sterilized in each department before every patient exam.
• Assist technologists with patients
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrates ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

• High School Diploma
• 1 year of previous medical office experience and intermediate computer skills
• Medical terminology knowledge and recent medical/radiology office work experience is preferred.
• BLS certification
