Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia team under physician, CRNA or RN supervision. You will prepare and clean all equipment, order supplies for procedures, and ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards across patient ages from neonates to geriatrics.

The ideal candidate has a background in anesthesia or critical care and a current BLS certification, working in a fast-paced hospital setting within the Valley Health System

• Minimum two years anesthesia or critical care background preferred.
• BLS certification required.

• Assist anesthesia team in preparation and safe handling of equipment for procedures.

Job Description

The Anesthesia Technician functions under the supervision of an Anesthesiologist, CRNA or Registered Nurse and performs delegated functions. Provides safe, effective cleaning of all equipment in compliance with safety and infection control standards. Assumes responsibility to order and prepare supplies and equipment as needed by the Anesthesiologist for surgical procedures in this preparation, observes Universal Precautions and is responsible for meeting the Standards of Care. Patient age may be from neonate to geriatric.

Experience

Minimum two years anesthesia or critical care background preferred.

Technical Skills

Ability to operate or ability to learn to operate equipment used in performing job responsibilities.

License/Certification

BLS required.
