Responsibilities

  • Gain observational experience across Eagle Construction processes in Sales, Design, Marketing, Financial & Land Acquisition Management, and Field Operations (Development & Production), and Preconstruction (Purchasing/Estimating/Drafting).
  • Work in one department under a Mentor and perform real-time tasks aligned to internship goals.
  • Attend weekly feedback sessions with the Mentor to discuss roles, goals, and overall company vision.

Job Location: Henrico, VA 23238

Salary Range: $20.00 - $20.00

Results Statement: Successful completion of the internship will result in a thorough and improved understanding of the residential construction industry and marketable skills within the industry. Additionally, participation in the Eagle Academy will lead to productive feedback and provide an environment which fosters growth through learning.

Key Accountabilities (100% of the Internship):
  1. Gain observational experience with the Eagle Construction Process. (30%)
    a. Observe collaborative team meetings and workflow assignments in each of the four main areas of Eagle Construction: Sales, Design, & Marketing, Financial & Land Acquisition Management, Field Operations(Development & Production), and Preconstruction (Purchasing/Estimating/Drafting).
    b. Engage in relationship-building by asking questions of Eagle Employees and Human Capital Manager during the introductory period to help clarify responsibilities of team members as part of the Eagle Construction Process.
  2. Job-Specific Training. (65%)
    a. Work within one of the four main areas of Eagle Construction as a focus for the remainder of the internship, working directly for a supervising “Mentor” and perform real-time tasks to further the goals of that department.
    b. Attend weekly one-on-one feedback sessions with the Mentor to seek clarity of roles, set learning goals, and further foster an understanding of the overall vision of Eagle Construction of VA.
  3. Workforce Readiness (5%)
    a. Prepare for and participate in an extensive interview process with supervisor, a member of the Eagle Leadership Team, and Human Capital Manager, to discuss: the overall experience; your performance related to the goals you and your mentor set, the industry, and potential paths forward as you complete your education.
Qualifications
  • Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent people and communication skills; highly motivated, enthusiastic, with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel and MS Project.
  • Able to multi-task and meet various project deadlines; work independently and a demonstrated ability to manage projects and clients.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are essential.
