Job summary

Grounds Guys in Friendswood, TX is hiring a Maintenance Team Member to join our crew and deliver exceptional lawn care and landscaping services. You’ll be on the front line, keeping properties neat and healthy while representing our Neighborly Done Right Promise.

You must be willing to train within 6 months, have a valid driver's license, and be prepared for physical outdoor work in all weather. Pay ranges from $15.00 to $18.00 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in landscaping, lawn service, or related fields.
• Willing to complete training within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Front-line team member delivering exceptional lawn care and landscape services.
• Operate mower, string trimmer, blower, edger, and perform pruning and weeding.
• Work outdoors in all weather, perform physically demanding tasks (35–80 lb).
• Ensure job sites are wrapped up and ready for the next day.

Your Responsibilities as a Maintenance Team Member

• Front-Line Employee –
  • You are quite literally the boots on the ground. You’ll be a front-line employee who provides exceptional care.
  • The team performs basic tasks related to landscape maintenance at high levels of quality and service delivery. This includes but is not limited to mowing, string trimming, blowing, edging, weeding, pruning and edging.
  • You must be able to work outdoors, in all weather conditions, doing very physical work, able to lift/carry 35-80 pounds often.
  • You ensure everything is wrapped up and set to go for the next day.

How We Measure Success

• Attendance: Might sound basic, but it’s critical to meet our Customer Service goals. You need to be here as required by your Supervisory team.
• Budget vs Actual Hours: Keeping jobs profitable is dependent on managing the time planned and spent at each job.
• Return Rates: You’ll ensure quality control to make sure it’s rare to ever need to go back to redo a job.
• Customer Retention: Building great relationships with each customer, and ensuring that they receive exceptional service, will keep them coming back.
• Full Utilization of Software & Processes: This helps make all the above possible.

Job Requirements for Maintenance Team MemberBilingual & Valid Drivers License

• Prior experience in landscaping, lawn service, or similar service industries.
• If you don’t already have experience, you must be willing to complete training within 6 months.

In addition, there are a few additional minimum requirements that are necessary to be considered for this position.

Benefits & Pay

The pay range for this position is $15.00 to $18.00 and is dependent on your experience as a lawncare or landscaping professional.
