Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes in California is seeking energetic Team Members to join our bakery team. You will learn to frost delicious cakes in four sizes, assist guests with warm, genuine service, handle orders at the counter and online, upsell complementary merchandise, and help create memorable celebrations for every guest.

• Maintains product knowledge to educate guests on cake options, pricing, and promotions.
• Suggests additional merchandise to complete celebrations.
• Processes guest orders accurately using the point-of-sale system.
• Encourages guests to join NbC Email Club and App for rewards.
• Maintains clean, organized bakery presentation and hygiene."
• Replenishes merchandise and cake display cases to ensure strong visuals.
• Assists Crafter with decorations and packaging as needed.
• Complies with health, safety, dress code, and NbC policies.
• Maintains reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Participates in onboarding and cross-training across departments.
• Frosts cakes with NbC recipes and ensures productivity.
• Prioritizes pre-orders and frosts walk-in orders accordingly.
• Ensures samples and frosted cakes are available for display and rotations.
• Follows packaging, labeling, and refrigeration standards; maintains logs.
• Manages frosting supplies and notifies when replenishment is needed.
• Evaluates cakes to meet NbC standards and flags issues to management.
• Cleans and restocks workstation and equipment between shifts.
• Maintains attendance and participates in training as needed.

Accountabilities/Duties

As a Guest Service Representative

• Promptly greets walk-in and phone guests with genuine warmth and helpful enthusiasm to determine interests and needs and follows NbC Sweet Steps of Service to create a superior guest experience.
• Maintains strong product knowledge to educate guests on NbC cake distinction, size and flavor profile options, pricing, special promotions and complementary retail merchandise.
• Suggests additional merchandise, including balloons, candles and cards, to complete a unique celebration.
• Processes guest orders efficiently and accurately utilizing the point-of-sale system
• Invites guests to join NbC Email Club and Mobile App to benefit from special promotions, earn rewards, and stay connected to the brand.
• Upholds a clean and organized bakery presentation, which may include routine sweeping/mopping of the floor, and dusting/cleaning of countertops, windows and other surfaces.
• Replenishes retail merchandise and the cake display case to ensure a strong visual presentation.
• Assists the Crafter in preparing cake decorations and packaging supplies as needed.
• Complies with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene.
• Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.
• Actively engages in training initiatives when needed, including but not limited to onboarding new hires within your department, providing necessary retraining, or participating in cross-training efforts across different departments.

As Froster

• Follows NbC proprietary frosting recipe and application methods with precision and achieves productivity goals.
• Effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade or handheld mixer and pastry bag to frost cakes.
• Prioritizes cake pre-orders according to schedule and frosts cakes for walk-in guest orders accordingly.
• Ensures an adequate supply of samples and frosted cakes are available for guests in the bakery display case and maintains appropriate frosting and frosted cake par levels.
• Adheres to the proper packaging, labeling and storage of frosted cakes as well as product rotation standards, and maintains frosting and refrigeration logs.
• Monitors inventory of frosting supplies and notifies management when replenishment is required.
• Evaluates baked and frosted cakes to ensure NbC standards are met and informs management of any quality control issues.
• Cleans, sanitizes and restocks workstation, ensures frosting supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift, and washes any equipment in the absence of the Dishwasher/Utility Employee.
• Complies with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene.
• Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.
• Actively engages in training initiatives when needed, including but not limited to onboarding new hires within your department, providing necessary retraining, or participating in cross-training efforts across different departments.

Work Availability

Must have the flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, based on changing business demands. MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY AVAILABILITY A HUGE PLUS!
