Job summary

Hexagon Agility seeks a Team Member for the 1st shift in Lincoln, NE to operate production machinery and follow standard work instructions.

You will set up and tear down equipment, assemble parts with hand and power tools, and maintain 5S and safety in a fast-paced environment. Strong work ethic and teamwork are essential; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

Team Member - 1st Shift

Full Time Hourly Lincoln, NE, US

Salary: $19.00 Annually

Our product offerings include (renewable) natural gas bulk distribution systems of compressed gases, lightweight Type 4 composite natural gas cylinders, and (renewable) natural gas fuel systems. These products transport clean gaseous fuels and enable vehicles to reduce emissions while lowering operating costs.

Job Summary

Operates machinery and performs activities necessary for production of Hexagon Agility products. Activities include reading and understanding machine instructions, safety manuals, process specifications and other work instructions.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform work per standard procedures, process specifications and other work instructions.
  • Read and understand machine instructions, safety manuals, process specifications and other documentation necessary to produce quality product.
  • Set-up and tear down production machinery, validate progress of machine’s work and adjusts as necessary.
  • Assemble parts to match product specifications either by hand or with tools (hand tools and power tools).
  • Perform routine minor maintenance.
  • Align with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Encourage teammates to input safety involvement to reduce risk and eliminate hazards.
  • Notify appropriate chain of command with quality or production issues, with the ability to offer solutions and suggestions on how to address the issue.
  • Respects and supports leadership, co-workers, and subordinates.
  • Work closely with other team members in accomplishing individual and team member training goals, communicating any concerns.
  • Consistently demonstrates commitment to Hexagon’s values of Integrity and Drive in all aspects of employment.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Certifications & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Strong work ethic / High Integrity & Drive / Ability to work various shifts and available for Overtime.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to accurately use measuring devices (pi-tape, air pressure gauges, etc.)
  • Ability to operate power tools (hand saws, drill guns, jig saw, etc.)
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read detailed instructions.
  • Provide accurate record keeping.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Proven success in the training of co-workers.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and work independently.

The employee must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds on a regular basis and up to 120 lbs with assistance on an occasional basis (team lift available). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • This position may work additional days outside established work schedule to achieve production goals as necessary. Additionally, work in the plant and outdoors in the field, therefore subject to all weather conditions sometimes to include extreme cold and heat. The work described while working in the plant or field will require wearing all PPE depending on circumstance which may include: safety glasses, hard hat, ear protection, leather gloves, safety vest and steel toed boots
