Job summary

Burger King in Columbus, Nebraska is seeking team members to join a fast-paced environment focused on customer satisfaction and safety. You will greet guests, take orders, handle payments, and ensure orders are accurate while maintaining cleanliness and teamwork across front counter, drive-thru, and kitchen areas.

Applicants should be personable, reliable and able to multi-task under pressure. Training is provided; location is on site with flexible shift opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, take orders, process payments and address customer issues.
• Operate cash register or POS devices and upsell to generate sales.
• Verify accuracy of guest orders and prepare food and drinks.
• Keep kitchen, counters and dining areas clean and organized.
• Maintain health and safety standards in work areas.
• Unload and stock inventory as needed.
• Work across multiple stations (front counter, drive-thru, prep, expediter).
• Attend shifts on time and follow uniform/grooming standards.
• Resolve issues at the restaurant and support team goals.
• Communicate professionally with customers, peers, and managers.

HERE-S WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

As an integral member of the Burger King Team, this position is responsible for:

• Greets guests with a smile, receives orders, processes payments and responds appropriately to customer issues.
• Operates cash register or point of sale devices, as needed and uses value-added suggestive-selling techniques to generate additional sales opportunities.
• Verifies the accuracy of guests- orders.
• Prepares and packages food and drink products.
• Cleans kitchen area, counters, food preparation areas and utensils.
• Cleans dining room, restrooms, and exterior grounds.
• Maintains Health and Safety standards in work areas.
• Unloads and stocks inventory items as needed.
• Performs duties at multiple workstations (e.g., front counter, Drive-Thru, prep boards, expediter, etc.);
• Prompt and regular attendance on assigned shifts.
• Follows uniform and grooming standards and policies.
• Works to resolve issues that may arise in the restaurant.
• Learns team effectiveness skills; works with others to achieve team goals.
• Responds to guests- needs in a professional and polite manner.
• Communicates in a positive manner with customers, peers, and managers.
• The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
