Job summary

Caribou Coffee is hiring a Team Member to deliver exceptional guest service, craft beverages, and support daily operations in a fast-paced environment.

You will move between barista and greeting duties, take orders, and maintain clean, well-stocked spaces while upholding our core values of teamwork and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays as the coffeehouse needs.
• Excellent customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Delivers guest service that builds real connections and attentive service.
• Hand-crafts beverages and prepares food to standard recipes.
• Moves between barista, greeter, and other roles as needed.
• Takes orders and manages the cash drawer following cash-handling standards.
• Keeps the coffeehouse clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Anticipates what’s needed next for a Guest or teammate and acts on it.
• Makes recommendations to Guests grounded in product knowledge.
• Opens to leadership if issues arise and supports teammates.

Position Overview: The Team Member is the core of the Caribou Coffee experience. They are responsible for creating day-making experiences through delivering unparalleled guest service, making exceptional hand-crafted beverages and bringing the Purpose and Values of Caribou to life in every interaction.

Core Responsibilities

• Delivers guest service that builds real connections, active listening, personal attention, and thesmall moments that make someone’s day
• Hand-crafts beverages and prepares food to standard recipes, customizing to Guest preferences
• Confidently moves between barista, greeter, and any other role the shift calls for, ready to take
  on whatever task is needed in the moment
• Takes orders and manages the cash drawer accurately, following cash-handling, safety, and
  security standards
• Keeps the coffeehouse clean, organized, and well-stocked, meeting Caribou’s operating
  standards for quality and safety
• Anticipates what’s needed next for a Guest or a teammate and acts on it before being asked
• Makes recommendations to Guests grounded in real product knowledge, not just a script
• Knows the difference between a problem to solve on the spot and one that calls for a leader,
  and asks for support accordingly
• Takes direction from leaders and understands the team is balancing multiple priorities at once
• Shows up for every scheduled shift on time and ready to go, maintaining reliable, consistent
  attendance
