Job summary

Playa Bowls is seeking a friendly Team Member to join our New Jersey-origin fast casual concept with a healthy, fun focus. You will help guests choose superfood bowls and build them with attention to quality and consistency, while thriving in a fast-paced setting.

As a part of our on-site team, you will maintain cleanliness, manage time effectively, and contribute to a positive guest experience, all while learning Playa Bowls’ services and passion for healthy living.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant.
• Manage time effectively and meet all job responsibilities.
• Create a positive work environment for guests and staff.
• Ensure product consistency, palatability, and flavor conformity.
• Perform food preparation or service tasks.
• Operate the point of sale cash register system.
• Address customer questions or comments promptly.
• Take customer orders and assemble the orders.
• Replenish supplies and inventory; notify staff of shortages.

WHO YOU ARE

As a Team Member, you’re a positive and enthusiastic people-person, who may just so happen to have a passion for fruit, superfoods, and all things healthy! You will be responsible for helping new customers pick a superfood for them and using your own personal skills to create them. If you enjoy fast-paced environments, career growth, entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, and an occasional silly food pun, we want you!

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant

• Addressing any questions or comments that customers may have

• Notifying staff of any food orders or food shortages

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to lift or otherwise move 25-40 pounds occasionally
• Must be able to retrieveitems from high and low shelving, the fridge/freezer, and under counters.
• Must be able to tolerate occasionally loud environments (high powered blenders, timers, and order notifications).
• Ability to frequently move about inside the establishment to access the Point-of-Sale cash register, assemble guest orders, clear tables, restock inventory, etc.
