The Quality Control Team Member is responsible for the inspection and measurement of automatic transmission parts to ensure they meet specifications.

Position Responsibilities
- Read and interpret part dimensional features from engineering drawings then render judgement.
- Responsible for ensuring flow of quality-assured parts to support high volume production
- Adhere to Standard Work Instructions (SWI)
- Maintain professional, harmonious relations with other employees
- Continuously interface with supervisors to communicate problems and develop solutions
- Accurately record and report inspection and measurement results.
- Continuously train and develop new skills
- Analyze and continuously improve processes to increase overall efficiency (Kaizen)
- Responsible for effective communication to supervisors by use of Stop, Call, and Wait methodology
- Maintain quarantine areas
- Interface with, and support, Quality Assurance Specialists for investigations
- Ensure mission-ready status of assigned process equipment (Pre-Use Inspections and calibration)
- Perform other tasks as requested by supervisor

Beneficial Skills And Experience
- Sorting/Reactive Quality experience is highly preferred
- Knowledge of metrology and gauge calibration preferred.
- High degree of mathematical aptitude and familiarity with Metric System.
- Knowledge of GD&T, Technical Drawings, and Technical Instructions preferred.
- Experience in fast-paced automotive manufacturing preferred.
- Knowledge of Toyota Production System (TPS) or Lean Six Sigma preferred.
- Experience in an industrial/manufacturing/production environment is a plus.
- Math skills-Basic mathematic skills to ensure accurate measurements is a plus.
- Mechanical-General knowledge of machines, tools and measurement instruments is a plus.
Education/Training/Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
