Job summary

STRATTEC SECURITY CORPORATION seeks an experienced Team Leader to support the production team and supervisor. You will help improve safety, quality, delivery, and morale using continuous improvement tools while leading a shift on the manufacturing floor.

The ideal candidate will lead with a team-oriented attitude, manage staffing, and ensure standard work and timely start-up. The role includes 5S checks, data gathering for scrap reviews, and training new operators, with hours Mon-Thu 5am-3pm and

Qualifications

• Experience leading manufacturing teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage shift operations and placement of materials.

Responsibilities

• Pre-shift communication with shift leadership.
• Understand staffing and priority products; populate assignment board.
• Ensure standard work and calibration controls; escalate issues to Supervisor.
• Lead problem solving and 5S/housekeeping checks; maintain safe, clean area.
• Assist in shift start-up and remove obstacles to sustain flow; review metrics.
• Record scrap data; prepare for next shift and set up material sequencing.
• Coach trainees and review training progress; ensure trainees feel welcome.
