You will be responsible for leading your teamwith Safety, 5S, quality, delivery to take time, and controlling cost in yourdepartment. This position requires you to train, direct, and holdaccountability to the policies and processes of the organization throughconsistent, fair, and equal leadership practices.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Mustbe full-time and must have at least 1-year experience in commercialvehicle assembly (Walk-ins, Truck Bodies/PDVs).
- Mustbe flexible with work hours/assignments and have a good knowledge of the manufacturing build process.
- Youwill be required to be able to train your team to read installation andassembly prints, troubleshoot production issues, safety and 5S processesand regulations.
- Youmust be proficient with computers (knowledge of applicable portions ofAurora a plus).
- Musthave strong leadership skills including the ability to motivateco-workers, have a positive attitude, be highly organized and have astrong desire to be proactive in dealing with product and people issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Understandand lead safety requirements - respond to/correct unsafe practicesimmediately, perform regular audits of your area to ensure compliance toour safetyrequirements and practices.
- Inthe event of an injury, promptly investigate and document as required.Promptly address corrective measures to prevent further injuries.
- Understoodenvironmental requirements as applicable and maintain compliance.
- Trainand hold accountability to the 5S process and expectation of your area.Due regular audits to ensure the practices and processes are followeddriving continuous improvement.
- Understand& communicate Quality Assurance standards. Drive training andaccountability with your team for following our policies and proceduresfor a quality product.
- Ensurequality expectations are consistently achieved - issues are properlyaddressed and contained within the department.
- Identifyand coordinate all required and necessary training.
- Beable to facilitate daily start-of-shift & other group meetingseffectively and efficiently,
