Bruker is seeking a Team Leader for Chemical Operations on the 1st shift in Carteret, NJ. The role oversees a manufacturing team ensuring safe, efficient chemical operations with attention to quality and procedural standards.

Responsibilities include training operators, maintaining 6S standards, and driving continual improvement while coordinating with quality and process engineers.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Manufacturing experience required.
  • Basic math and computer skills required, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and read and write in English.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret operating procedures, safety requirements, and calibrated equipment.
  • Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures and properly use required safety equipment and features.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed to support operational requirements.
  • Must have US Citizenship or Permanent Residency. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • Ensure that manufacturing targets are being met and that the product is to the correct quality standard.
  • Ensure area control plans and standard work is being followed.
  • Take appropriate action on production problems and escalates issues to the Group Leader as required.
  • Take the lead in training and coaching operators, and co-ordinate on-the-job training of operators. Ensure that training forms are accurate and completed.
  • Regularly participate in production activities to help reinforce the training of others, and interface with quality and process engineers when procedural changes are introduced - in order to ensure compliance with MSI procedures and routings, ie 'standard work'.
  • Take part and contribute to process improvement projects.
  • Use problem solving and root cause analysis skills to better provide corrective action when required.
  • Take the lead within team in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain area visual displays. (Whiteboards, metrics etc...)
  • Cross-training as required per business needs

Responsibilities

Bruker Energy and Supercon Technologies (Bruker EST) is the world leader in the production of superconducting wires. Position Overview:

This position is a key role in our manufacturing production facility. The individual in this role will play an important part in overseeing a team to ensure our chemical operations is working efficiently.

This is a first shift role with normal working hours between 7AM to 3:30PM.

At Bruker, the base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated hourly range for this full-time position is between $18.00/hr and $25.00/hr and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on several job-related factors, including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge, and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits, including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
