Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Tarboro, NC is hiring Team Leaders for our warehouse operations. You will lead shifts, manage daily tasks, and ensure safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires forklift experience, RF scanner use, and strong communication. We offer weekly pay, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off, and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• One year or more team lead experience preferred.
• One year or more Microsoft Office experience preferred.
• RF scanner experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator's license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement for warehouse operations.
• Perform warehouse duties including loading, picking, packing, shipping, and forklift operation.
• Allocate daily work to team members to optimize shift performance.
• Inspire team toward improved KPI performance using effective leadership.
• Provide orientation and tools to employees to perform their jobs.
• Promote health and safety practices within the warehouse.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork such as picking sheets and bills of lading.
• Submit daily reports and propose actions to improve service levels.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay: $21.50 per hour
• Overtime Pay: $32.25 hourly when working overtime
• Shift Premium: $0.50 per hour whe working 2nd shift
• Schedule: First Shift Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm or 2nd shift 3:00pm-11:00pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required
• Valid forklift operator's license certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.
• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
