Job summary

Valeo is a global tech company designing mobility solutions and automotive components. We are hiring a Line Setter to support Production - J Schedule as a Full time employee.

You will start up lines, ensure equipment readiness, and maintain compliance with QCDM standards, while coordinating operators and monitoring performance. You will participate in kaizen workshops, train multi-skilled team members, and help to minimize downtime through rapid root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

  • Experience setting up and starting production lines.
  • Ability to train operators and lead shift activities.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement and kaizen.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and start production lines according to standards.
  • Assign operators to workstations and optimize resources.
  • Lead daily briefings and communicate with supervisor.
  • Participate in kaizen workshops and propose improvements.
  • Ensure QRAP/QR actions are fulfilled.

Maintaining QCDM work standards and standard performances (compliance + quick response) Ensure installations & equipment start, and production start according to standards, and OK starts (1st part release). Performs production according to standards. Detects problems (deviations from standards). In case of problem detected, reacts according to the standard of reaction, for instance regarding KOSU/KTRP ones. Is involved in Quick Response actions. Liaise between the team and the supervisor. Assigns operators to workstations and Optimise resources and operators depending on workload. Checks respect of standards and facilitates the job of the APT (changeovers, procurement,...) Anticipate change-overs and facilitate production to avoid disruptions. In case of detected problem, ensures the 1st level of support. Ensures QRAP is fulfilled or lead QRAP filling (QR). Escalates according to standard of reaction. Can lead daily meeting under supervisor delegation (5' meeting). Applies ERIM/TPM: Detect reliability abnormalities and write Red Tags Fill in correctly the TRP losses in the MES or DLE/KTRP record sheet or spreadsheet. Transfer useful information to next shift Team Leader Inform Supervisor regarding useful information Setting and Improving QCDM work standards and standard performances (continuous improvement) Proposes improvements of existing standards in his/her APZ by making improvement proposals. As a user, approves work standards. Can propose countermeasures on root causes. Is involved in kaizen workshops in his/her perimeter. Train team members in work stations to reach quality and productivity standards, using eWorkStation as soon as implemented Develops his/her autonomy in multiskills fields under supervisor control. Performs On Job Training for other team members. Replaces other operators so that they can be involved in improvement actions or to avoid line/equipment stops. Facilitates improvement within the APT (e.g. helps supervisor to process suggestions for improvements). Facilitate Improvement Proposal completion
