Job summary

Bard Manufacturing Company, located in Madison, GA, seeks a Team Leader to assist supervisors with training, motivate production personnel, and manage daily reporting for production and inventories.

The role supports Safety, Quality, and Customer Service goals and acts as a back-up to assembly line positions and department supervisors. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1–2 years supervisory or team leader experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of production procedures and ability to operate machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily production requirements and assign tasks to employees.
  • Prepare paperwork and reports as needed.
  • Notify Supervisor of discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, and employee issues.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
  • Provide training, technical guidance, and coaching to the team.

Job description

The Team Leader is responsible for assisting department supervisorswith training, motivating and managing production personnel and dailyreporting for production and inventories. In addition the team leaderwill support goals in Safety, Quality, & Customer Service.Additionally the team leader will act as a back up to all assemblyline positions and department supervisor.

The successful candidate will be required to pass all applicable testing.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the coordination of daily production requirementsincluding assigning employee job tasks.
  • Prepares paperwork and reports as needed.
  • Notifies Supervisor of product discrepancies or equipmentmalfunctions and employee issues.
  • Adheres to established company policies and procedures payingspecial attention to safety regulations to ensure that safetyrules and procedures are strictly followed.
  • Provides training, technical expertise, and coaching todepartment employees as needed.
  • Reviews material and production requirements needed to meet dailyproduction requirements.
  • Provides hands on assistance and works in a production capacityas needed or as available.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Work Overtime as needed.
Experience and Skills:
Skills/Knowledge:
  • Exceptional Oral and Written Communication Skills
  • 1 to 2 years supervision or team leader experience.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of production procedures and know howto use tools and operate machinery.
  • Physical Dexterity
  • Familiarity with 5s, 6s, lean manufacturing, and leanmanufacturing concepts preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills. Expected to be able to direct, control,correct and motivate the members of their team to achieveefficiency and do their best.
  • Must be a swift learner and excellent coach to train their teammates.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to effectively handle thechallenges and problems in the shop.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to delegate tasks to other team members.
  • Good time management and be expected to be proactive at all times.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to read and comprehend part drawings.
  • Ability to operate forklift
