Toyota Boshoku America is seeking a Kaizen/ TPS specialist in an Illinois facility to analyze and implement kaizen activities. The role focuses on safety, quality and productivity improvements with hands-on support to production teams.
Responsibilities include updating kaizen schedules, creating reports, and devising new processes. Strong English communication and problem-solving skills are required; flexibility for evenings and weekends is needed.

This is an Hourly position
A. Implement TPS methods and techniques to establish the most efficient processes and procedures.
B. Lead kaizen activities to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
C. Analyze new and existing work processes and develop improvement plans in accordance with quality and engineering standards.
D. Support production operations to ensure on time delivery to the customer.
E. Update and schedule Kaizen activities using MS Office software to create charts, graphs, and additional Kaizen reports.
F. Perform functions such as instructions and demonstrating new processes to team members.
G. Provide sustaining engineering as needed and ensure the safety, quality guidelines and ergonomic principles are observed.
H. Develop and maintain time studies and yamazumi charts.
I. Design and fabricate jigs, racks, and tables used in manufacturing for Kaizen activities.
J. Ability to work flexible hours as needed including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Plant: Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hearing protection, etc. may be required in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas. Personal attire standards may apply.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing and is occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds.
