Job summary

Conestoga Wood Specialties in North Carolina seeks a Production Supervisor to determine work procedures, prepare schedules, and expedite workflow for each cell, ensuring daily targets are met with accuracy and quality in line with policies.

You will train team members, lead problem solving, enforce SOPs, monitor safety, and drive improvements while maintaining clear internal and external communications and resolving conflicts.

Qualifications

  • Requires a High school Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Wears approved safety equipment at all times.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Identifies safety violations and/or injuries per company policy.
  • Upholds the company values, vision and mission in daily performance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all work instructions are followed consistently to meet production requirements.
  • Ensures accurate part counts for all customer orders, repairs products as necessary, and accurately interprets and uses standard tape measures.
  • Uses company equipment to print and apply barcode labels to products.
  • Performs all tasks with appropriate safety equipment and identifies need for additional safety equipment as necessary.
  • Provides effective and professional verbal and written communications internally and externally.
  • Creates and implements process improvements.
  • Trains other employees in specific operations.
  • Executes additional tasks as required.

Essential Physical Requirements

  • Mental and emotional pressure is present in this job. Stress is created through making quick decisions, extended concentration, excessive distractions and performing multiple tasks.
