Job summary

PICS Inventory is seeking Team Leader candidates in Dayton, OH to supervise inventory counts for major retailers within the area. The role requires accuracy, reliability, and strong customer-service orientation, with travel as needed.

We offer paid on-the-job training, career advancement opportunities, and mileage reimbursement for approved drivers. Starting pay is $15.00 per hour, with pay depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience counting inventories; capable of managing small to mid-sized inventories.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Available for early morning hours (5 a.m.–7 a.m.) with occasional weekends/evenings.
• Must have reliable transportation to inventory sites and a reliable means of communication.
• Must be able to travel within the area; carpool provided for inventories over 30 miles from your territory.
• Develop customer satisfaction in inventories and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Count inventory for major retailers across the assigned area.
• Travel to inventory sites; carpool provided for long inventories.
• Enter data on a handheld device with a 10-key keypad and handheld scanner.
• Stand, kneel, and reach to count merchandise from top to bottom shelves.

Job description

We are seeking candidates who are motivated, accurate, reliable, and efficient customer service-oriented team members. Previous experience working in the inventory service industry preferred, but not required. You will be responsible for counting inventory for major retailers throughout the area. Some travel is required, with carpool generally provided from a meet site for those inventories over 30 miles outside of your assigned territory.

Previous experience working in the inventory service industry preferred, but not required. You will be responsible for counting inventory for major retailers throughout the area. Some travel is required, with carpool generally provided from a meet site for those inventories over 30 miles outside of your assigned territory.

Qualifications:

• Previous inventory experience with the ability to manage small and mid - sized inventories as determined by District Management.
• Be a Team player – work well within a team concept.
• Be courteous to the store’s customers and store managers when asked questions.
• Be professional in presentation and demeanor at all times.
• Continual training and development of team members to increase productivity while ensuring accuracy.
• Develop customer satisfaction in all inventories.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Available to begin work early morning hours, 5 a.m.to 7 a.m. (with centralized meet sites at earlier times). Occasional weekend and evening work available.
• Must have reliable transportation to inventory sites. (public or private)
• Must have a reliable means of communication.

Position Requirements:

• 4 – 8 hours on average (we commit to being on site until job completion) of stepping up on step stools, kneeling, standing, and stooping down to count merchandise from top shelves to bottom shelves.
• Accuracy is a must. Entering data into a handheld collection device (10 - key data entry) accompanied by a handheld scanner.
• Frequent reaching and stretching to view merchandise. (Duration varies based on customer type.)
