LensCrafters in Omaha is seeking an Urgent Care Lead to drive the Brand experience by executing store and lab processes with focus on quality eyewear and customer satisfaction.

The role involves leading both lab and retail duties, coaching colleagues, and ensuring compliance with optical standards while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1+ year experience in optical/retail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer-focused.
• Leadership and training experience within a retail or optical setting.
• Sales-minded with problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators.

Responsibilities

• Custom fits glasses and precisely place prescription in lenses.
• Collaborate with staff to improve knowledge and store processes related to lens and lab tech.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
• Maintain safe working environment and conduct basic maintenance of lab tools and systems.
• In Retail, deliver unsurpassed customer service and product knowledge.
• Assist customers with selections and act as a store key holder when needed.

Job Description

GENERAL FUNCTION

The Urgent Care Lead creates exceptional value in the lives of customers & patients by delivering to the Brand experience through execution of the brand value proposition. Ensures customers & patients are always happy and satisfied with purchase. Assists in the achievement of store success by managing key optical and lab processes & systems to exceptional results.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

While working in Lab, if applicable

• Custom fits glasses & precisely place prescription in lenses
• Works with associates to strengthen their knowledge, skill, & certification for foundational product & store processes related to lens and lab technology
• Ensures finished eyewear meets optical standards & customer requirements
• Creates a safe working environment for all, demonstrates safe work practices
• Responsible for basic operation, cleaning & ongoing maintenance of lab tools & systems

While working in Retail

• Ensure the LensCrafters team provides unsurpassed Customer Service
• Proactive & solution driven, accurate execution & product knowledge
• Assists customers with selections, provides recommendations, assists sales associates
• Serves as a responsible alternate store key holder

Basic Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED
• 1+ year experience
• Strong optical & retail experience
• Knowledge of current optical theory & merchandise
• Strong communicator & listener
• Strong inter-personal skills
• Strong basic math skills
• Sales skills
• Problem solving ability
• Familiarity with cash register, computers & calculators

• Edging & mounting experience
• Basic optics knowledge & optical measurement experience

Preferred Qualifications

• State licensure (if applicable) &/or ABO Certification in non-licensed states
• Eyewear Inspection Program Modules 1-6
• Quality Manufacturing Program Certified
• Optical machinery/instruments experienceCustomer service experience
• AccuFit Digital Measurement System certification
• Knowledge of current store merchandise & lens options
