Job summary

GEODIS in Humble, TX seeks a Logistics Team Lead to direct the workflow of account staff and lead teams per client SOPs. You will monitor entry status, review rejected entries, and coordinate with Export/Import to resolve issues affecting shipments.

With a minimum of 2 years’ experience and strong MS Office skills, you will communicate with managers, clients, and carriers while supervising daily operations and staff performance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience or equivalent.
• Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials and regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Strong written and oral communication, with the ability to present information to managers, clients, customers, and the public.
• Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work and set goals.

Responsibilities

Your role on the team:

• Directing workflow of the employees within the account
• Leads team per client SOP’s
• Monitors Entry Status Report and reviews rejected entries and Post Entry Work
• Coordinates with Export/Import Supervisor to properly resolve issues
• Assists team members in resolving issues with Customs, OGA, and Carriers
• Monitors AP/AR discrepancies and addresses accounting issues
• Assists in the enforcement of Ocean Export Policies and Procedures
• Directs employee teams, including maximizing team productivity, tracking labor hours, training staff, and performance reviews

What you need:

• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Strong written/oral communication, with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
• Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work, while developing specific goals and plans to complete tasks

Bonus if you have:

• Experience with Cargowise a plus
• Customs Brokerage License preferred
• Ocean Freight Experience preferred
