Qualifications

• Two years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably a food environment.
• Prior leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to work overtime hours to meet customer demands.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up, shutdown, lockout, sanitation, and operations to produce a high quality product.
• Lead day-to-day plant activities in a team environment emphasizing safety and communication.
• Hold others accountable for standards and commitments; follow escalation process when applicable.
• Assess training needs and lead training efforts.
• Coach and train team members; deliver concise messages using visual aids.
• Lead data-driven decision making and DMAIC problem-solving methods.
• Engage with cross-functional teams; provide feedback and mentorship.
• Prepare written materials and presentations for varied audiences.
