Job summary

Sonoco in Denver, PA, is seeking a Team Lead I to supervise and work hands-on with the production team on 1st shift (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM). You will lead by example, monitor quality, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Reporting to the Site Lead, you will ensure teamwork, timely deliverables, and adherence to Sonoco’s safety standards, with strong communication across departments and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience leading a shift or team in a production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing instructions and specification sheets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; detail oriented and organized.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and basic production computations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of employees on multiple manufacturing lines.
• Collaborate closely with other departments and teams.
• Make incremental process adjustments; monitor and report product quality.
• Drive and inspire the team to improve performance to meet goals.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area; 5S familiarity is a plus.
• Perform duties assigned by the plant manager and support quality/safety policies.
