Job summary

Learning Care Group is hiring a Team Lead at a Houston child care center to guide classrooms, implement curriculum, and promote children's growth. You’ll lead classroom management, mentor new hires, and support families to help each child thrive.

Qualifications

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility and leading a classroom.
• Preferred CDA or credits towards ECE/Child Development.
• Ability to meet state/accreditation requirements for education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children through classroom instruction and curriculum implementation.
• Communicate with families to promote achievement for the child and support center success.
• Mentor and train new hires and fellow teachers, creating engaging learning experiences.
• Lead duties of Director/Assistant Director in absence, including opening and closing the center.
• Ensure daily care of every child by following licensing guidelines and company standards.

As a Team Lead, you are a:

• Teacher! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in your care. Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation. Classroom instruction is at least 50% of weekly schedule.
• Communicator! Communicate and build relationships with families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.
• Mentor! Be responsible for, or assisting with, the management, training, and mentoring of new hires and your fellow Teachers, as you create fun, interactive learning experiences to share with the preschool children.
• Leader! Take on the duties of Director or Assistant Director in his/her absence, including opening and closing the school.
• Expert! Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.

Wewant energetic, dependable, passionate individualswhoare at least 18 andhave:

• Experience in a licensedchildcarefacility, leading a classroom,andimplementing lesson plans.
• College credits towardsEarlyChildhoodEducation orChildDevelopment degree or a CDA, preferred.
