Job description

The Team Lead, Commercial Strategy drives analytical excellence for the Small Law Firm segment—leading day-to-day support for complex deal reviews, serving as the go-to resource for escalations, and mentoring Senior Analysts to build a stronger, more capable team. This role is central to shaping the projects, testing initiatives, and process improvements that keep the business consistent, efficient, compliant, and positioned for stronger revenue performance.

Success in this role shows up in measurable impact: faster exceptions velocity, sharper identification of revenue leakage (and the fixes to match), and a stronger, better-coached Senior Analyst team. Beyond day-to-day execution, the Team Lead helps set direction—leading policy creation, KPI/OKR reporting, and qualitative studies that translate directly into better commercial outcomes.

About The Role

As Team Lead, Commercial Strategy, you will:

  • Lead advanced deal analysis, turning complex data into clear, strategic recommendations for the business
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex pricing and commercial scenarios, bringing clarity and sound judgment to high-stakes decisions
  • Champion adherence to pricing strategy, policy, governance, and approval standards across the team
  • Mentor, train, and onboard Senior Analysts—building bench strength and analytical rigor across the group
  • Drive special projects, user acceptance testing, and tool enhancements that expand what the team can deliver
  • Identify and act on process improvement opportunities, maintaining the documentation that keeps the team sharp and audit-ready
  • Own compliance activities and reporting requirements, ensuring the team is always prepared for review
About You

  • Skilled at balancing competing stakeholder needs while making confident, well-reasoned decisions under pressure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, paired with the ability to clearly communicate deal status, risk, and opportunity to senior leadership
  • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and influence peers to elevate team performance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in SaaS, legal, or subscription-based business models
  • Familiarity with CRM, SalesForce and Conga applications
  • Ability to effectively deploy AI tools and approaches to uncover areas to optimize revenue, or passion to learn
  • Experience supporting testing, system enhancements, or process automation
  • Knowledge of compliance, governance, and audit standards
