What you will do:

The Production Lead is responsible for keeping the production and milk receiving areas in a safe, sanitary and efficient work order.

Here’s a day in the life:
  • Complex Problem Solving - Identifying Complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Dairy Science – Understands the components of milk, starter bacteria, and other ingredients, and the processing of making dairy products to a specification
  • Statistical Process Control – Understands basic statistics and their application in understanding a process and how it is responding to correction
  • Physics – Knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, their interrelationships
  • Systems Evaluation – Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system
  • Judgment and decision Making – Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
  • Innovation – Job requires creativity and alternative thinking to develop new ideas for and answers to work-related problems
  • Equipment maintenance – Performing basic routine maintenance on equipment and determine when other maintenance is need
  • Mechanical – Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Critical Thinking – Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Troubleshooting – Determining causes of operating errors deciding what to do about it
  • Operation and Control – Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
  • Analytical Thinking – Job requires analyzing information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems
  • Clerical – Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
