Position Overview

This position is the leader of all areas of production (Molding, Assembly, Secondary Operations and Warehouse) on a 12-hour shift, with 60% of the time minimum on the production floor. With each department reporting to and taking direction from Team Leader. This position will report to the Production Manager and taking direction from the Plant Manager and Production Supervisor.

Schedule: Day Shift 6am - 6pm - rotating 2/2/3

Pay: Starting at $27/hr.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Enforce Liquibox Safety Processes and Continuous Improvement Maintain a safe and clean work environment

  • Audit/reinforce proper safety practices and train/retrain as needed
  • Maintain a safe, and clean working environment through proper 5S and Housekeeping
  • Participate in Plantwide Safety programs
  • Member of Safety committee

Quality on shift

  • Responsible for shift product quality, documentation verification (start-up, process sign-offs)
  • Respond to CAR's, NCAR's, and CAPA's as assigned by leadership

Team Management

  • Direct shift work load and coverage
  • Weekly and bi-weekly electronic approval of time cards for shift
  • Audit/reinforce proper work practices and train/retrain as needed
  • Scheduling PTO for team member on the shift
  • Address disciplinary issues and document accordingly
  • Complete performance evaluations

Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in molding/assembly area growth and development plans
  • Reducing scrap, increasing productivity and efficiency in production areas
  • Participate in training programs

Experience and Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma/GED. Preferred: 2-year post-secondary degree in technical discipline.

Experience: 1-2 years minimum manufacturing background, experience in Leadership, Assembly, Injection Molding, Quality Control, Material Handling, Warehouse, or other departments in Liquibox.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
