Job summary

Role Description

The Team Captain is a full-time, on-site role located in Sullivan, OH. This position supports daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, merchandising, inventory handling, and maintaining a clean, organized sales floor. The Team Captain leads by example in providing knowledgeable, enthusiastic customer service, helping guests find team merchandise, and promoting current promotions and events. This role assists in training and guiding team members, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and visual standards. The Team Captain collaborates with store leadership on staffing needs, sales initiatives, and creating an engaging, fan-focused environment that drives results.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead and motivate store teams, provide coaching and feedback, and support a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse fans, resolve issues, and create positive in-store experiences.
• Experience in retail operations, including cash handling, point-of-sale systems, merchandising, and basic inventory management.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
• Interest in sports and local teams, with the ability to learn product assortments and share knowledge with customers and colleagues.
• Flexibility to work a full-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and peak sports seasons as business requires.
• Previous supervisory or key-holder experience in retail or hospitality is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business, retail management, or a related field is a plus.
