Job summary

Residing Hope in Florida seeks a dedicated individual to join our team. The role operates on a Tuesday-to-Tuesday cycle, with a live-in arrangement and a yearly pay of $41,485 plus benefits.

We care for children and families in crisis, emphasizing safety, trust, and trauma-informed care. Candidates need a high school diploma (GED accepted), be 21+, have 1 year of relevant experience, pass a background check, and maintain a clean driving record.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support youth with trauma-related behaviors.

  • Respond to emergencies and follow protocols.

Job description

This job is live in one week and have one week off. They work Tuesday to Tuesday. The pay is $41,485 annually. It does come with benefitsincluding 1 week of paid vacation, 12 paid sick days per year and 11 paid holidays.

What You Need
  • High school diploma or GED required / degree preferred
  • Minimum age for this position is 21 years old
  • Minimum of one year experience working with children, either in work or volunteer
  • Clean driving record
  • Be able to pass an extensive background screening process
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ability to work with youth whose behaviors can reflect that of trauma related experiences
  • Must have strong communication skills including accurate and detailed writing abilities for case notes
  • Ability to work effectively with co-workers
  • Ability to set appropriate limits and boundaries
  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential issues
  • Must have the energy and flexibility to meet the changing needs of children/youth
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and make sound decisions
  • Ability to handle emergencies and follow appropriate protocols
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with clients and effectively engage clients from diverse cultures
  • Must have sensitivity to the service population
