Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD required in Engineering, Statistics, or Engineering Education.
• Master's degree may be considered for Instructor-Teaching rank.
• Evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, or equivalent instructional experience.
• Proficiency in Python programming; experience with AI-enabled teaching tools or data analysis.
• Familiarity with data analytics, data science, and machine learning concepts.
• Demonstrated use of innovative, student-centered teaching methods.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary instructor for multiple sections of entry-level courses in applied probability, statistics, and introductory data science for undergraduate engineers.
• Develop and deliver engaging, student-centered instructional sessions reinforcing lecture content.
• Prepare and evaluate quizzes, examinations, homework assignments, and projects.
• Maintain regular office hours and provide academic support to students.
• Supervise and provide guidance to teaching assistants and graders.
• Conduct course assessment and document student learning outcomes for accreditation.
