Job summary

Carney, Sandoe & Associates is seeking Teaching Fellows for the 2027-2028 school year at private and independent schools in the Boston area. Fellows will teach in middle and/or upper school departments, participate in residential life where applicable, and engage in mentoring and professional development with guidance from experienced educators.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates or rising 2027 grads with a passion for teaching, collaboration, and contributing to school communities beyond the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 2027 grads welcome.
• Recent graduate with teaching, tutoring, or extra-curricular experience.
• Interest to contribute to the school community outside of the classroom (coaching, advising, clubs) preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers.

Responsibilities

• Support individual students with skill instruction while observing classes.
• Work with a mentor, and participate in a cohort with other fellows to learn new skills and techniques to build your teaching tool kit.
• Teach several sections of courses for middle and/or upper school students.
• Participate in professional development activities to expand knowledge and skillset as a teacher.
• Coach or provide support for extra-curriculars activities.
• Chaperone a weekend activity (if applicable).
• May live on campus and supervise/participate in residential life duties (if applicable).
