Job summary

Woodland Academy in Rogers, Arkansas, is seeking an energetic teaching assistant to join our team. You will assist teachers with planning and implementing both whole-classroom and small-group instruction.

The ideal candidate is passionate about learning, loves working with children, and possesses strong creative and organizational skills. This role involves engaging students individually to help them master their assignments and maintaining an exceptional learning environment both inside and outside of the classroom.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a state and federal background check.
• A year of previous teaching assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in small groups to help them master assignments.
• Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeteria, schoolyards, and gymnasiums.
• Provide extra assistance to students with special needs.
• Observe students’ performance and record relevant data.
• Teach social skills to students.
• Provide personal care for students ages 0-12.
