Pacific Northern Academy is a private school located in South Anchorage. We are a Preschool – 8th grade school with around 140 students. We’re a supportive team that works closely together to provide an outstanding school experience, and our Preschool Program Assistant Teachers play a vital role in supporting the success of the school. Teachers and Assistant Teachers work together as a team to ensure the safety, social-emotional and academic development of the students. Our classrooms have students from 3 to 5 years old.
Assistant Teachers are responsible for providing enrichment, supervision, and care to students during the school day. Duties will include:
Work environment is typical of a school environment however this position involves daily exposure to weather elements. Candidates must possess adequate vision, hearing acuity, physical ability, strength, and stamina to perform the required responsibilities of activities associated with supervision and program delivery; ability to lift 35 pounds.
