Job summary

The Learning Center in New Jersey is seeking a caring and reliable teaching assistant for our infant room (6 weeks to just under 1 year). You will support the head teacher in implementing and delivering lesson plans, assist with art projects, feedings, and daily routines, and help with transitions throughout the day.

We welcome candidates with 1–2 years of infant teaching experience or those currently pursuing an Early Childhood Education degree.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of infant teaching experience or active coursework toward ECE/Elementary Ed.
• Must have own transportation and be reliable, punctual, nurturing.
• Assist head teacher with lesson plans, teaching activities, art projects, feedings and daily routines.
• Opportunity to work with Toddlers through Pre-K may be available.

Responsibilities

The position available is a full-time or part time teaching assistant in our infant room. The children range in age from 6 weeks to just under 1. The candidate should have at least 1 to 2 years of teaching experience with infants, OR should be currently taking education courses towards an Early Childhood or Elementary Education degree. The candidate will assist the head teacher in implementing lesson plans, teaching the lesson plans, helping with art projects, feedings and daily routines. We are looking for someone who is fun, creative, energetic and loves working with this active age group! Candidate must have their own transportation, and be reliable, punctual, nurturing and dedicated to teaching young children. The teaching assistant may also have the opportunity to work with other age groups (Toddlers through Pre-K).
