Job summary

Community Action Council in Cynthiana, KY seeks an entry-level Leader of the Teaching Team in the early childhood classroom. You will oversee the development and implementation of the education program to meet state licensing requirements, Head Start Performance Standards, and NAEYC.

Leader of teaching team in the early childhood classroom. Responsible for the overall development and implementation of the education program in the classroom to keep the classroom compliant with state licensing requirements, Head Start Performance Standards, and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Qualifications:

Preferred degree: interdisciplinary early childhood education, early childhood special education, early childhood education, early childhood development, elementary education (P-5), childcareassistant, child development services, individual and family studies.

Related degree:

psychology, sociology, art therapy, child life, elementary education, nursing, speech therapy, counseling, human services, human services administration or program administration, nursery school teacher, university or general studies with emphasis in early childhood, physical therapy, occupational therapy.

Knowledge, Skills, experience, education, abilities:

• Teacher I: MA plus IECE certification
• Teacher II: BA plus IECE certification; MA in related degreewith equivalent course work.
• Teacher III: MA or BA in equivalent course work.
• Teacher IV: AA in ECE; BA in related degree field.
• Teacher V: CDA in the appropriate area, Infant/Toddler.
