Job summary

Huntington Learning Center in Dayton, OH is hiring dynamic phonics and reading tutors to teach small groups of elementary students during the school day. This is an in-person position, not remote, requiring a bachelor’s degree.

Hours: 20–35 per week, Monday–Friday, with schedule depends on school calendar. Compensation varies by credentials, from $25.00 per hour with a bachelor’s degree to up to $30.00 per hour with teaching certification.

• Valid teaching certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Huntington Learning Center’s instructional procedures and curriculum.
• Work with the Lead Teacher and Program Director to implement instructional programs.
• Follow school policies and procedures; supervise students at all times.
• Maintain student records of attendance and progress.
• Administer baseline tests at established intervals.

You must hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree.

Position Details:

• Part-Time: 20-35 hours a week, Monday through Friday, hours and days may vary based on school schedule.
• Location: Dayton, OH.
• Elementary School-aged students, ELA.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Prior teaching and/or tutoring experience preferred.
• Valid teaching certificate preferred but not required.

Compensation:

• With Bachelor's Degree: $25.00 per hour.
• With valid Teaching Certification: Up to $30.00 per hour, commensurate with credentials and experience.
