Job summary

Huntington Learning Center in Boca Raton, FL, is seeking talented teaching professionals to provide individualized instruction to students. We welcome a variety of candidates including recent graduates and retired professionals willing to teach in-person.

Qualifications

• Teaching certification is preferred but not required.
• Experience in tutoring or teaching is welcome, including recent graduates.

Responsibilities

• Teach students in a 1-to-1 or small group setting.
• Commit to the academic success of students.
• Potentially assist students with SAT/ACT exam prep.

Requirements

• CANDIDATES THAT ARE LOCAL AND CAN INSTRUCT IN-CENTER ARE PREFERRED. MUST BE ABLE TO TEACH IN-PERSON IN BOCA RATON, FL
• 4-year degree required.
• Teaching certification is strongly preferred but not required.
• All experience levels are welcome to apply – recent graduates, current teachers, and retired professionals.
• Must be a caring and qualified professional committed to the success of students.
• Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Calculus, Chemistry, and Statistics are a plus.
• Must be able to teach at least one or more of the following subjects: Reading, Writing, Grammar, Maths, Science.
• Exam prep (SAT/ACT, GED, ASVAB, SSAT) experience is a plus and may be required to match students.
• COVID-19 considerations: masks are required; face shields and gloves will be provided; temperatures are taken upon arrival.

• Flexible scheduling Monday to Thursday and Saturday.
• Open Monday through Thursday from 9 am-8 pm and Saturdays from 9 am-3 pm. Busiest times are from 3-8 pm during the week and all day Saturday. Being able to start at 3 pm or earlier Monday-Thursday is a plus.
