Chesterfield County Public Schools is seeking a dedicated World Language teacher to join our team for the 2026-27 school year. You will plan and deliver French instruction aligned with Virginia standards and ACTFL frameworks, integrating culture and literature while developing speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills 90% of the time.
You will assess student progress, collaborate with colleagues, communicate with families, and participate in district professional development.

General Description: This is for the 2026-27 school year. Plans, delivers and evaluates instruction based upon specific VDOE Foreign Language standards, the ACTFL framework and objectives established by CCPS. Integrates classroom content into daily lesson plans. Assists students in learning knowledge and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible citizens. Exposes and engages students with specified world language literature, history and culture of the target language. Provides instruction in speaking, reading, writing and understanding the world language, as well as lessons in the world language literature and culture using the target language at least 90% of the time. The emphasis is on developing language proficiency in the interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational language modes. Integrates students' use of technology as appropriate.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Must hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in French.
