Wake County Public School System seeks a Teacher Preschool Special Programs to provide direct instructional services to preschoolers with disabilities under IEPs in home, childcare, or community settings. You will maintain progress data, manage a caseload, and ensure alignment with NC Foundations for Early Learning.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in ECE/SPED, four years of Pre-K teaching experience, and NC licensure. Strong collaboration with families and community partners is essential.

POSITION PURPOSE:
Provides direct instructional services to special education preschool children according to their Individualized Education Plans (IEP)in the least restrictive environment, typically the home, childcare setting or community preschool. Maintains all data collection and logs of progress towards IEP goals to update/change IEP, as necessary. Manages a caseload of preschool aged children based on locations of children, frequency of service and duration of sessions.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in an office and childcare setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, copiers, projectors, and laminating machines. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff, staff of childcare centers, students, parents, external agencies, and the community. Work is considered medium physical work, requiring the exertion of up to 25 pounds of force. Ability to get on the floor and move in a variety of ways when working with young children. The work requires driving automotive equipment.
