Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Teacher Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Specialist for a part-time contract position in Seguin, TX. The role focuses on teaching students with visual impairments to navigate their environment and grow socially, intellectually, and emotionally within a school setting.

The position offers 8.00 hours per day at a pay rate of $42 per hour. The assignment requires a valid state teaching certificate and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of one year experience in learning environment preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

The Teacher Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Specialistprovides students with appropriate learning experiences and activities designedto help them in social, intellectual, and emotional growth. The Teacher Orientation and Mobility enablestudents to develop competencies and skills to function in a successful andpositive manner and teach students with visual impairments to safely andindependently navigate their environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid state teaching certificate as required by stateregulations

• Minimum of one year experience in learning environmentpreferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
