Position Overview:

Provides instruction and is responsible for student learning during a particular time period in mathematics

Typical Duties And Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, standards-based mathematics instruction that develops students' problem-solving, analytical reasoning, and mathematical thinking skills.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, academic growth, and confidence in mathematics.
  • Use assessment data to differentiate instruction, monitor student progress, and provide timely feedback to support achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement curriculum, integrate instructional technology, and advance school improvement goals.
  • Prepare students for success in higher-level mathematics, college, careers, and real-world applications through rigorous and relevant learning experiences.
Minimum Requirements
  • Must hold a valid Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) educator certificate with an endorsement in one or more of the following endorsement areas: 029 or applicable
Preferred Requirements
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole highly desirable.
