Universal Health Services in Nashville seeks a licensed Teacher to join Hermitage Hall, a leading psychiatric residential treatment center for children and youth.

The role requires planning curriculum, creating schedules, and delivering lessons aligned with state requirements, while supporting students with IEPs and daily living skills. A TN license is mandatory; orientation is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
• Valid TN Teaching License; TN Teaching Permit acceptable if pursued within three years.
• Special Education endorsement preferred.
• Preferred one to two years related experience and/or training.
• Must attend two-week orientation classes, Monday through Friday.

• Develops and implements behavioral objectives by reviewing referral and assessment data.
• Establishes, monitors, and documents goals and objectives for individual student needs with assistance of treatment team.
• Administers standard classroom procedures by maintaining current school records and confidentiality of all student records.
• Ensures line-of-sight supervision of assigned students and maintains a structured environment to ensure student involvement.

Hermitage Hall (a UHS company) is one of Middle Tennessee's largest stand-alone psychiatric residential treatment hospitals. Position Summary: The Teacher is responsible for planning curriculum, creating classroom schedules, and preparing lessons and instructional materials that meet the individual needs of students including those with IEPs, when applicable in alignment with state and school requirements. The position also supports students by assisting with special healthcare needs and helping them develop daily living and behavioral skills.
